On the eve of Christmas, congratulations included and wishes to enjoy these days, the president of the PP of Castilla y León, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco, also gave his people homework this Wednesday for these dates: rest, yes, but also “enjoy” the days … bring to “your people, your family, your friends, your neighbors…” the message that “we must win the elections with strength and ease, so that there is no room for doubt.” The meeting with the ballot boxesThe President of the Council also specified, without specifying the date, that it will be “in March”. So, already in the discount that will begin to apply from the first of 2026, he made it clear to “everyone” that It will be time to “rush forward, without fainting, without time to waste, without giving up”.
“And know how much we are at stake,” he told his people, gathered at the Autonomous Committee, where he asked the people “that everyone take a step forward” in this race for elections. After the Christmas holidays, “we will pull ourselves together” to obtain a “large majority”, he noted, affirming without saying that they want enough seats not to depend on other parties – Vox in the lead.
For the moment, the electoral process is beginning to accelerate, with the appointment of the also vice-president of the Council and regional coordinator of political action, Isabel Blanco, responsible for leading the campaign committee. And Zamora’s wife left with additional tasks: “We are not going to ask you less” than repeating in March the “magnificent result” obtained at the last European Championships.
The dates already set, underlined the popular baron, will be “very special” for two reasons. On the one hand, at the regional level, because he is “at the gates” of the elections, before which he once again called for the opportunity to “throw a spear in favor” of a “good policy”, which “moves away from the noise”, is “nourished” by public service and “responsible”. “And we did well and we can be proud,” he added. On the other hand, these are “special” dates, said Mañueco, because “Spain is going through one of the most serious moments of democracy, with a corrupt and decaying government that is trying to undermine state institutions.”
“Anguish and worry”
But, added the leader of the PP, although he can “understand and share in many cases the anguish and concern that the scandals cause us”, he is also convinced that “this will end as soon as possible, because the State functions and the institutions are stronger than the siege to which they are subjected, and because justice will prevail above all”.
Thus, he appealed for “hope”, even if “democracy has never been so attacked”. Convinced that “time will do its work” and that in the future “many will look back with shame” and “everyone will know” that “the rule of law has won and democracy has triumphed over the most difficult challenge since the 23F”.
