Two police officers arrested for the murder of the young man in Parque Sikiman
The call brings together neighbors, human rights organizations and LGBTQ+ groups from Bonilla and Cordoba, who denounce the case as an episode of institutional violence with potential elements of discrimination. Groups such as Diversxs Punilla and Córdoba Diversa are promoting the protest with the young worker’s relatives.
“Samuel’s death cannot go unpunishedIn statements broadcast on social media, they expressed their demand for a speedy investigation and review of police oversight protocols in the region.

An operation that ended in tragedy
On Sunday, November 23, Tobares was returning from work at a hotel in Villa Carlos Paz. He got off the bus on Route 38 and remained at the waiting point, where the occupation forces intercepted him Sergeant Guillermo Serafin Arce and Officer Franco Sebastian Romero.
According to accounts analyzed by justice, police control began after a complaint from a neighbor in the area. Another hypothesis asserts that it is possible for agents to be mistaken for the person.
Guillermo, one of the witnesses who witnessed the event and testified before the justice, described the brutality of the incident: “They killed that boy as if he were a dog. I saw when the surveillance started, when they took him to the cell phone. They insulted him, attacked him. In a struggle they hit him with a pineapple, threw him on the cell phone. The boy fell and kicked him. They sat on top of him for 15 or 20 minutes.” They called him a “fucking whore”, a “fucking gilded man”, and an “outario”.“.

The witness added that when the police officers got up, Samuel was no longer moving. He added: “His arms were falling off. There they started performing CPR. It is a lie to say that that boy died in Funes. He died here. They left him to die in the street. When they realized that they had sent him to him, they raised their heads.”
Tobares was taken to Domingo Funes Hospital, but arrived dead. The young man was defenseless throughout the operation.
Autopsy and judicial case
An autopsy confirmed that Tobaris’ body had multiple injuries in different areas, although the exact cause of death has not yet been determined. Judicial sources expected that in the next few hours, expanded details of the study and basic information would be known to assess whether there were violent maneuvers or procedural errors.
Carmen Aguero, the young man’s mother, denounced the brutality of the attack: “The police were ferocious, and they sat on him. His head was severely damaged and his teeth were missing. This does not happen in a simple struggle.”

Prosecutor No. 2 of Villa Carlos Paz, Ricardo Mazzucci, will investigate the two detained officers in the coming days, who were left in a negative situation. The police officers’ defense filed a motion to prevent the continuation of the premeditated murder charge.
For its part, the complaint, led by lawyer Carlos Nay, requested that the charges be increased and indicated that there was “excessive use of force during the proceedings.”
Demanding justice and memory
LGTBIQ+ organizations stressed that the issue requires a diversity perspective in their analysis. The Cordoba Sexual Opposition Caucus has called a meeting for Friday, December 5 at 5 p.m. In Plaza Pipa Gaitan.
The regional Pride Parade in Cordoba condemned the incident and demanded an urgent meeting with the Minister of Security, Juan Pablo Quinteros, to discuss the situation.
The goal of the Saturday mobilization, according to the organizing organizations, is “to keep the memory of Samuel alive and to accompany his family in a claim that concerns the entire community.” The groups stressed that they will not stop mobilizing until those responsible are identified and penalties are imposed commensurate with the seriousness of the events.
