From Brasilia to São Paulo, the French restaurant Marie Cuisine has just opened its first branch in São Paulo, in the Jardins district, to the west of the city.

Led by chefs Marcílio Araújo and Raphael De Lucca, the house is inspired by Parisian culture both in the environment, which combines the decoration of a traditional bistro with that of a contemporary space, and in the French gastronomic recipes.
The cover opens the menu with naturally fermented bread, parmesan puffs, salted butter, chicken liver pâté and cream cheese (R$33 per person).
Among the starters are a carpaccio made with filet mignon, black olive pâté, pine nuts, arugula and parmesan (R$93). You can also order hot duck foie gras with caramelized figs and orange (R$189) and Burgundy snails with garlic butter and parsley (R$99, six pieces).
Charcuterie options include duck and pork rillette with pickles and country bread (R$119) and plain duck foie gras terrine with fig jam and brioche (R$219).
Among the main dishes, you can order duck confit with green pepper sauce and fried potatoes (R$198) and boneless quail stuffed with Sancerre wine, green grapes and lentils (R$169). Rice with octopus, black olives and arugula salad (R$143) and lamb shoulder with mushrooms, green beans and mashed potatoes (R$169) are also on the menu.
To sweeten things up, you can choose the red fruit pavlova (R$49) or the orange, ginger and vanilla crème brûlée (R$53).
The menu also includes desserts such as milk pudding with caramel and fleur de sel (R$46) and chocolate cupcake with vanilla ice cream (R$49), as well as pastas and chef’s specialties — filet mignon with foie gras, red wine sauce and black truffles and au gratin potatoes (R$329) and pork shank with smoked bacon, ham sausage, sauerkraut, caramelized apple and steamed potatoes (R$279, for two people).
The wine list selects French and European wines. Among the white labels, the Quiban Toro Branco (R$499) and the Cavazza Bocarra Gambellara stand out. (R$349). The menu also offers labels such as Bourgogne Aligote AOC André Goichot (R$399), from Burgundy, and Cuveé Sidoine Blanc. (R$299) — Mediterranean blend based on Chardonnay and Viognier.
