Masp with free entry this Sunday (7) – 06/12/2025 – Tours

Sao Paulo

Masp will have free entry this Sunday (7), as part of the Paulista cultural initiative. This date also marks the debut of three new exhibitions at the museum, which is also hosting a special activity linked to the event.

Paulista Cultural promotes the exchange between seven institutions of the avenue, and the Casa das Rosas will organize in Masp a storytelling session with supernatural stories from the memory of São Paulo. Led by composer and screenwriter Thiago de Souza, from the “O Que Te Assombra?” project, the meeting addresses urban legends such as the ghosts of the Municipal Theater, the hauntings of the Post Office building and the Martinelli building, as well as the Lobisomem do Largo São Francisco.

The image shows the facade of a modern building, with concrete walls and large glass windows. The walls are predominantly red, with a shiny texture, and the top is gray concrete. The sky is partly cloudy, with a few clouds visible.

Free entry allows you to visit the three new exhibitions in the Lina Bo Bardi building, which close the cycle of the “Stories of Ecology” theme. “Minerva Cuevas: Social Ecology” occupies the 2nd basement with works that explore the connections between environmental issues and social structures, using installations, videos and paintings.

In the 1st basement, “André Taniki Yanomami: Ser Imagem / në utupë / imagebeing” brings together 121 drawings made between 1977 and 1978, and investigates the moment when Taniki, as a shaman, accesses ancestral spirits through the images he sees and, as an artist, creates these figures on paper.

The video room: Maya Watanabe, also in the 2nd basement, presents a film on the tensions of political violence in Peru and its impacts on individual and collective memory.
