The delegate for Culture, Tourism and Sports of the City Hall, Marta Rivera de la Cruz, inaugurated yesterday in Matadero the seventh edition of “Madrid, Christmas Meeting”, a space that offers a wide cultural and leisure offer for all audiences. Programming … It includes concerts, workshops, games, shows, cinema, a space dedicated to gastronomy and outdoor facilities for the little ones.
The musical proposal for all audiences will include daily concerts by artists and groups such as SP Big Band, Swing Engine Street Sextet, Spin Gospel, Roni Di Capo, Luli Bono, Naked Family, Soulift, Dubbi Kids, Trío Bravo, Del Toro Blues Band, The Groove Family and Combo Batanga, among others.
The range of activities extends to games, shows and interactive installations, such as “Microshakespeare”, by the Toti Toronell company (from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.); “Les amis de Crusó et L’atelier”, by the company Toc de Fusta (from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.); “Le Café du Chapelier Fou”, from the company Picto Facto (from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.), or “La Caravane du Dr Masterfil”, from the company Eudald Ferré & Cia. Passabarret (from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.). Participants will also have the opportunity to visit the iconic Automata Theater of the City Hall, a building of Madrid’s cultural heritage built in the 1940s (from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.).
The programming includes series of films that have Christmas as a common thread. The general public selection brings together titles from genres such as comedy, horror, action films or romance, signed by directors from all eras, such as Lubitsch, Kubrick, Capra, Ford, Anderson, Gerwig or Haynes (from December 20 to January 4, at 8:00 p.m.).
