“I don’t want a message,” asks his son

Maury Lima, son of Mauri, brother of the duo Chitãozinho and Xororó who died this Sunday (12/07), victim of a road accident, used social networks to ask people to stop sending him messages.

The child, who follows the same career as his father, spoke in Instagram stories, after learning of his death: “I understand everyone’s concern, I am very grateful, but for the moment I ask you not to call me, thank you for your prayers. Now it is time to be with my family and to be able to understand everything that has happened”, he began.

Reassured supporters

In another post, he reassured: “I’m fine physically, I just ask you to pray and be grateful to have met the person I have admired the most all my life,” he lamented.

Shortly after, Maury Lima asked: “Please, I really don’t want a message from anyone,” he wrote in the post, which was deleted shortly after.

In the caption of a video of his father, he said: “Dad, thank you for teaching me everything I know. Your story is beautiful and I promise to continue your legacy. You, up there, will make sure to be proud of me. I love you always and forever,” he concluded.

The world of music was taken by surprise this Sunday (12/7) with the death of Mauri Lima, 55, following a road accident. The artist, who formed a duo with Maurício, was the brother of the duo Chitãozinho and Xororó.

Images taken shortly after the collision which cost the artist his life, broadcast by journalist Lisa Gomes, show the seriousness of the situation. The musician was sitting in the front seat of the van which collided with a trailer after the driver suddenly fell ill.

The brothers speak out

Chitãozinho and Xororó used social networks this Sunday 7/12 to talk about the death of their brother, also singer Mauri Lima, aged 55. The singers released a statement in which they say that an investigation is underway into the circumstances of the accident and that the other brother, Maurício, is fine.

“It is with deep sadness and immense regret that we announce the death of Mauri Lima, brother of Chitãozinho and Xororó, in a tragic accident that occurred on the afternoon of this Sunday, December 7,” they began.

And they added: “The fact is very recent and the information is still being investigated and consolidated, but we inform you that Maurício is doing well physically and is being assisted. The family thanks everyone for their affection and understanding in reserving themselves in this moment of deep pain”, they asked.
