
This Monday morning (22/12), the eighth phase of Operation Audacia was launched, the result of an integrated action to combat organized crime in Porto Velho (RO). The operation aims to comply with 68 preventive arrest warrants and 78 search and seizure warrants, granted by the 1st Guarantee Court of the State of Rondônia.
The action included the participation of several teams of security forces from different states, totaling more than 200 police officers.

The court decisions were carried out in the homes of those under investigation and in penitentiary units located in the municipalities of Porto Velho, Cacoal, Ouro Preto do Oeste, Presidente Médici and Vilhena, in Rondônia, in addition to Coari (AM), Maringá (PR) and Catanduvas (PR).
The measures aim to instruct the Criminal Investigation Procedure (PIC), established within the framework of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the State of Rondônia (MPRO), to investigate the alleged practice of crimes involving the constitution or integration of a criminal organization, with the use of a firearm and the participation of a child or adolescent.
Other crimes are also being investigated, such as illegal possession and carrying of licensed and restricted firearms, receipt and trafficking of drugs, among other crimes attributed to members of a criminal faction operating in the capital.
The police action also aims to catch up with possible fugitives, to execute outstanding arrest warrants for other facts and to make arrests in flagrante delicto which could be discovered during searches, such as illegal possession or possession of a firearm and/or ammunition, drug trafficking and receipt of goods.
Deployment
The operation is a direct consequence of Operation Audacia I, launched on February 7, 2024. The respective criminal investigation procedure is in its final phase, and the complaint will be presented to the Court within the legal deadline, initiating the criminal action until the final judgment of the accused.
The operation involves the Public Ministry of the State of Rondônia (MPRO), the State Secretariat for Security, Defense and Citizenship (Sesdec), the State Secretariat for Justice (Sejus), the Military Police of Rondônia (PMRO), the Civil Police of Rondônia (PCRO), the Criminal Police of Rondônia (PPRO), the National Secretariat for Policies Criminal (Senappen) and the Federal Police (PF).
