MP denounces Casa da Nanny owners after discovering clandestine school
THE Metropolises found that Helio appears as managing partner of EscoLAR Educacional, an educational establishment that caters to children aged 1 to 5 years old, located in Arniqueira.
The Federal District Council for Education (CEDF) informed, in a note, that the establishment does not have accreditation with the Ministry of Education (SEEDF) to offer educational services.
“The CEDF further specifies that the Legal DF (Secretariat of State for the Protection of Urban Order) has already been informed of the irregular functioning of the institution,” indicates the text sent. DF Legal said it is expected to send a team to the educational institution this week.
The journalist contacted EscoLAR Educacional and is awaiting a response. Space remains open for details.

Although it was designated by the MPDFT as one of the partners of Casa Nanny, the defense of the institution, requested by Metropolisesstated that there was no connection with the school of Helio Edson Alves e Silva.
“We clarify that Casa da Nanny and the school in question have no corporate link. They are distinct institutions, with no direct or indirect relationship in their administration or commercial structure,” the note underlines.
However, the lawyers pointed out that, in a decision, the DF court rejected the MP’s request so that Casa Nanny associates could not open new daycare centers.
Investigation
After being closed for suspected mistreatment, the Casa da Nanny nursery in the southwest became the target of the 4th Prosecutor’s Office for Consumer Protection (Prodecon), which claims the space operated without authorization from the Ministry of Education, accumulating records of lack of hygiene, health risks and inadequate structure.
In addition to the mistreatment, the MPDFT denounced the owners for crimes: against consumer relations; subjecting a child to embarrassment; and criminal association. According to Prodecon, the defendants were aware of the irregularities, but decided to maintain their activities, with economic motivation, omitting from their parents the real situation of the facilities.
The daycare’s defense spoke out, saying prosecutor Leonardo Jubé’s account “lacks evidence, context and accountability.” “There are very serious distortions that he propagates in the press, based on confidential information disclosed illegally, precisely by the public official who must above all ensure legality and justice, in a sensationalist, distorted and out of context manner,” the lawyers stressed.
