Find out what the 10 km world record is
The 10K is considered one of the most traditional and competitive distances in running. This year, in fact, Agnès Ngetich became the first woman to finish in less than 29 minutes. On January 14, the Kenyan was champion in Valencia and set the new best time, in 28min46s.

Coincidentally, the best brand for men was also registered in Valencia. It was in December 2020 that Joshua Cheptegei broke a 15-year-old record. The Ugandan lost six seconds and crossed the finish line with a time of 26min11s.

Endurance metropolises
This is the fourth sporting competition organized by the Metropolises in 2025. The debut took place with Endurance, in triathlon, aquathlon and open water swimming competitions; then, cycling invaded the streets of Eixo Monumental; and finally, in September, the Métropoles Half-Marathon took place, the first event exclusively in running.
