Former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro gave a new update this Sunday (12/28) on the state of health of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL), admitted to the DF Star hospital in Brasilia (DF). Michelle reported on her official Instagram profile that Bolsonaro was reportedly unwell at night, shortly after undergoing further surgery to try to treat hiccups.
“Yesterday the anesthesia of the right phrenic nerve was performed and that of the left side is scheduled for Monday. Jair did not have a good night; he had new hiccups that started around 11 p.m. and continued until 11:20 a.m., without interruption, which caused him great exhaustion and an increase in blood pressure,” wrote Michelle Bolsonaro.

“Today his diet is even more restricted. I left him with his son Renan and I am going home to come back later to spend the night with him. Keep praying. Thank you and God bless you!”
What the doctors say
The latest medical bulletin, published this afternoon, reports that Bolsonaro is “stable” and “hiccup-free.” Last night, however, he had a new attack, despite the intervention carried out this Saturday (12/27), and showed changes in his blood pressure.
This Saturday (27), the former general manager underwent anesthesia to relieve his hiccups, which also caused him a poor night’s sleep. A new medical intervention should be carried out this Monday (12/29).
