This Friday, Starlite Madrid has dedicated itself to the talent and emotion of Miguel Poveda’s flamenco in a very special event. The artist appeared for the first time at the Starlite edition in Madrid to present “The Tree of Joy”, an intimate show full of nuances related to his new album, which Poveda himself defines as “much more than an album of Christmas songs” and which found Starlite Madrid the ideal place for its presentation in the capital within a program specially designed for these dates.
At his event in Madrid, the artist offered a concert in which he combined new compositions with traditional Christmas songs and reinterpreted classics, including memories of his childhood in Badalona. Accompanied by the guitar and the musical performance of Jesús Guerrero, the singer formulated a proposal that looks at the tradition from a personal point of view, conceived as a musical journey that goes beyond the usual Christmas song format and transforms the evening into a night of Christmas celebrations, marked by emotions, memories and encounters.
Adrián Lastra, along with Claudia Dobrescu, Geraldine Larrosa, Marta Riesco and Andrea Compton, was one of the well-known faces who didn’t want to miss Poveda’s concert.
There, the singer assured that, thanks to his son, he “nowadays lives again with the eyes of a child, the enthusiasm, the innocence, the impression with the lights,” which means that “you too become a little child again and experience Christmas from a different place.” That’s why “now I love Christmas, something I didn’t like before, now I like it a lot and I try to make it that way. Even if I don’t have loved ones, I try to celebrate it because it has passed through my life in some way.”
