Water supply
The lack of energy has also affected water supplies in the capital and at least nine cities in Greater São Paulo.
According to Sabesp, the reason is the drop in energy supplies after the storm and extratropical cyclone that hit the region. The company says the lack of electricity prevents water from being pumped to homes.
