The president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, returned this Monday to guarantee that she will exhaust the current mandate and that, therefore, Regional elections will take place next springwhile hoping that the new year, in which regional elections will also be held in Aragon and Castile and León, will be favorable to the PP at the polls.
This was stated by the party’s board of directors in the community, where the president advocated continuing to “work until the last minute of the legislature” and that it lasts the four years fixed by lawwith the aim of “continuing to excite and build this Andalusia that the vast majority” of citizens dream of.
In this sense, he defended that it is a “serene and correct” region and that he is in favor of the “consolidation and protection of coexistence”, which he described as “fundamental in every society and every family”, which is why He advocated spreading “good vibes among Andalusians”, even if it means “enduring unfair criticism”.he declared, without specifying a specific subject.
Moreno also highlighted the “improvements” that have occurred over the past seven years, which he said have led to an Andalusia in 2025 which “has nothing to do with the one we inherited” from socialist governments. Therefore, in this sense, he considered that the alternative to the PP is “the past”, in reference to the general secretary of the Andalusian PSOE, also vice-president and Minister of Finance, María Jesús Montero, whom he avoided naming directly.
The Deputy Secretary for Autonomous and Local Coordination and Electoral Analysis of the PP, Elías Bendodo, spoke in the same sense, emphasizing that “the train of progress that Andalusia took in 2018 cannot be lost”, a train that will have to be “faster” in the next elections, where “there can be no obstacle that stops” this pace, “neither on the right nor on the left”. Moreno, Bendodo concluded, “remains firmly at the wheel, as true leaders do; without looking one way, without looking the other.”“, firm with a perfectly clear and defined path and with a clear roadmap” and a “balance” in the eight provinces. “And look at the citizens with their heads held high”, which, he stressed, “the president of the central government, Pedro Sánchez, cannot do”.
Less optimistic was the assessment of this year that the socialists also made this Monday, which They consider that 2025 was a “lost” exercise for the community, with a president “without ambition” and “exhausted” that “the only thing he dedicates himself to is the constant confrontation with the Spanish government.” For his spokesperson, María Márquez, “privatization, lies and corruption” sum up the leadership of Moreno, whom he accuses of “absolutely disdaining” the opposition and who “thinks differently” from the “arrogance and embarrassment” that, he claims, Moreno has with his absolute majority.
For his part, the spokesperson for Vox in Andalusia, Manuel Gavira, once again gave very clear indications on what the position of Santiago Abascal’s party will be after the next elections, assuring that When the elections take place “and there is a government with Vox, we will be responsible for prioritizing what is really important.”who are the Andalusians and the Spaniards”, thus warning that the formation will have to enter the Executive to support Moreno if he wins in the regional elections.
