A teenager was injured after fleeing a police approach in São João da Boa Vista, interior São Paulo, on Saturday evening (12/27). The suspect was riding a motorcycle and collided with a vehicle while fleeing. Following the accident, the motorcycle exploded and the young man was thrown.

He was rescued by the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu). There is no information on his health status.

Escape and explosion
- According to the military police, the approach started on Rua Francisco Ribeiro Carril because the motorcycle’s license plate was dented.
- The young man, however, accelerated and fled at high speed, pursued by the officers.
- During his escape, he took several streets in the wrong direction until he lost control of his motorcycle and collided with a car on Manoel Gomes Casaca Avenue.
- As a result of the accident, the motorcycle exploded and the suspect was thrown into a store.
- The motorcycle was recovered from the Detran yard.
