The President of the Chamber, Hugo Motta (Republicanos-PB), has decided not to submit to a vote in plenary the request for loss of the mandate of deputy Bolsonaro Alexandre Ramagem (PL-RJ), condemned by the STF for involvement in the putschist plot.
According to Motta’s allied leaders, the President of the Chamber clarified that the loss of Ramagem’s mandate would be decided by the Board of Directors of the Chamber, as defined by the Supreme Court in relation to the mandate of the current deputy Carla Zambelli (PL-SP).

Motta’s idea with this decision, according to his allies, is to lower the temperature with the STF, which has increased in recent weeks both because of the Zambelli affair and the federal police operation against a former advisor to Arthur Lira (PP-AL).
Thus, the Board of Directors of the Chamber should decide, in the coming days, to disqualify Ramagem and Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP), who has already reached a sufficient number of absences from sessions to lose his mandate as deputy.

Currently, Ramagem is in the United States, having fled court sentencing due to the coup plot. As the chronicle shows, he left Miami, where he initially lived, to settle in a residence in Orlando.
Motta’s decision surprises the PL
Motta’s decision not to bring Ramagem’s case to the plenary surprised members of the PL, a Bolsonarist party. In the column, the party’s leader in the House, MP Sóstenes Cavalcante (RJ), said he had not yet been informed.
Sóstenes said he spoke “quite a bit” with the Speaker of the House on Monday (15/12), but that Motta did not bring up the subject of Ramagem. The leader, however, stressed that he was not surprised by this decision. “I know he can do it, yes,” he said.
