Chamber of Deputies Speaker Hugo Motta (Republicanos-PB) told his allies that he had ordered the Legislative Police only to remove Glauber Rocha (PSOL-RJ) from the seat he held on the Board of Directors, and that House security was following what was mandated by a 2020 Board of Directors law.
The text specifies, in article 7, that “movement and stay in buildings and places under the responsibility of the Chamber will be subject to interruption or suspension for security reasons”. As a result, he said, the press was kept away from the scene, which would not have been the original goal.
