The countdown begins for the second season of Beast Games, one of the most ambitious projects of Jimmy Donaldson, better known on the networks as Mister Beast, which, in its first opus, positioned itself as one of the most viewed formats in the history of Prime Video, with more than 50 million viewers worldwide in its first 25 days.
Although, as he admitted, this was not economically profitable and meant losses of “several tens of millions of dollars”he youtuber decided to renew its television commitment, initially inspired by The Squid Game with an even greater investment, which would exceed the more than 14 million dollars already allocated to the creation of a city from scratch.
“Beast Games 2 Strong vs. Smart has some of the greatest stages ever built in the history of entertainment”, declared the American a few days ago, revealing some of the novelties of this new opus compared to its predecessor in which, once again, a city was built to house the reality.
So, if on this occasion a total of 1,000 anonymous participants competed in a series of demanding physical and mental events for a prize of $5 million, this time the dynamics would be very different. And that’s it, not only would there have been significantly reduced the number of candidates, but they would be divided into two sides.
In all, “100 of the strongest people on the planet versus 100 of the smartest”, a most interesting ‘face to face’ which, in a way, is reminiscent of some of the more eccentric challenges that MrBeast carries out on his YouTube channel. However, the pot couldn’t be more succulent: “more than $10 million in prize money.”
