Confiança announced, in the afternoon of this Monday (08), the signing of striker Sassá, 31, to play in the 2026 season.
Revealed in the youth categories of Botafogo, the center forward won the Serie B of the Brazilian Championship in 2015 with Glorioso, a club for which he played 109 matches and scored 33 goals.
Sassá also accumulates important titles for Cruzeiro, where he won two editions of the Copa do Brasil (2017 and 2018) and was a two-time champion of the Campeonato Mineiro (2018 and 2019). With the celestial jersey, he played 92 matches and scored 20 goals.
In 2023, the striker was hired by Amazonas and played a decisive role in the Brasileirão Série C title campaign, being the team’s top scorer under current Confiança coach Luizinho Vieira.
At Dragão, Sassá will wear number 9 and is expected to arrive in Aracaju, the capital of Sergipe, in the coming days to begin integrating into the team.
In the 2026 season, Confiança will have a busy schedule, with disputes in the Campeonato Sergipano, Copa do Brasil, Copa do Nordeste and Serie C of the Brazilian Championship.
