Galotti’s determination to leave behind what she once saw as a symbol of femininity and belonging now corresponds to a much deeper search: authenticity. Honestly, the former model recognizes that there are moments in life when you really listen to yourself again.

The journalist received an outpouring of messages of love and support after she took to social media to share her experience of having her breast prostheses removed and her decision to “go back to natural,” prompting instant empathy from colleagues and celebrities who were quick to leave words of encouragement in the comments. Hours passed and at the invitation of TV showwould like to deepen these considerations and continue to make this path public. Maybe it’s for liberation, maybe it’s to raise awareness or just an inner desire to share it.

—Did you talk to anyone about the decision or was it an individual consideration?
– I thought about it to myself. It is a 100% personal decision. I am very happy to have accepted it and decided how I want to live this stage. It’s that simple.
—How did you experience the social influence and fashion of cosmetic surgery in the 90s?
– And in those years it was very fashionable, it was part of this world in which I lived. And I fell for this way of playing dumb. However, I also did it because I wanted to, no one forced me to do it or anything like that, but this phase is different. Really, very happy with my decision.
—How do you feel today when you look back on that phase and compare it to this moment in your life?
—I had an operation 26 years ago. Time passed and now I decide how I want to live this phase. There are moments in life when you really listen to yourself again. And in this clear silence a simple certainty appears: to want to be more and more yourself.
—What words would you use to describe this inner process of rediscovery?
—This operation was just right for me. A step towards naturalness, towards a body that I want to inhabit without any demands, without jewelry, that I no longer feel as my own. That belongs to a different era.
—How would you describe the freedom you feel today?
“I decided to take out my prostheses because today I care about something different: the truth of my body, the lightness of feeling as I am, the freedom not to react to expectations that no longer represent me.” And I’m very happy that I made this decision about how I want to live my life.

—How did your understanding of beauty change at this point?
“I understood once again that beauty arises when we stop forcing ourselves and start accompanying ourselves. When the natural is not a renunciation but a return. Today I prioritize something different: the truth of my body, the lightness of feeling as I am, the freedom not to react to expectations that no longer represent me.
—What message would you give to other women going through similar processes?
“I would tell them that there are moments in life when you really listen to yourself again.” A simple certainty arises: wanting to be more and more yourself.
