Known for banking on titles popular with fans of the supernatural like Lucifer, Shadowhunters, Locke & Key and The Witcher, Netflix has taken a new step in this territory and should greatly please those who appreciate the works of the author of Interview with the Vampire, Anne Rice. Without much fanfare, the streaming giant has discreetly introduced Talamasca: The Secret Order, a series already well known to North American fans, to its catalog.
This new production truly integrates the “Immortal Universe,” a shared world that also includes Interview with the Vampire and The Witches of Mayfair. It’s a surprise to find Talamasca on Netflix, since the two previous series were exclusive to Prime Video and Paramount+.
What is it about?
The Order of Talamasca is a secret society charged with hunting and containing witches, vampires, werewolves and other supernatural creatures throughout the world. The plot follows Guy Anatole (played by Nicholas Denton), who discovers the existence of this mysterious organization – which has been watching him since childhood – and finds himself thrown into a dangerous world, full of secrets and immortal beings.
