Netflix emails subscribers after Warner purchase: ‘At this time, nothing is changing’

Following the announcement that Netflix has reached an agreement to acquire Discovery Warner Bros.the streaming giant sent an email to its subscribers in order to assure them that the platform will not undergo changes for the moment.

The news caused a seismic shock to the entertainment industry last Friday, making official the acquisition of Warner’s studio and streaming business for a value of $82.7 billion, including debt.

Netflix closed 2024 with more than 300 million subscribers. The transaction has raised concerns among industry entities and, for analysts, could potentially redefine Hollywood and movie theaters.
