Professionals linked to the Associação Médicos Pela Vida (MPV) network on digital platforms to produce content on “post-peak syndrome” Or “Spikeopathy” — a disease without scientific validation which would be caused by messenger mRNA vaccines, as revealed by Estadão Verifica. The entity began focusing on anti-vaccine discourse after the covid-19 pandemic.
THE Estadão Verifica found conferences, debates, messages and texts published on the MPV site and testimonies in which doctors defend the existence of a syndrome not recognized by the health authorities. Furthermore, unproven treatments against “Spikeopathy” are encouraged, notably the use of ivermectin and chloroquine in adults and even in children vaccinated against Covid-19. These doctors charge up to R$1,500 per consultation And They offer courses that cost up to R$997.
The MPV was convicted in court, in 2023, for harm to public health due to the promotion of ineffective drugs against Covid. As shown in Stadiumthe group that promotes anti-scientific agendas also receives support and gives visibility to “alternative therapy” companies that provide products for “vaccine detoxification” of immunized people.
Doctors Francisco Cardoso, Paulo Porto de Melo and Roberto Zeballos, who this year carried out a study on “post-peak syndrome” – retracted and withdrawn from publication by the journal IDCases – have links to MPV. Until March 2024, Cardoso has published ten texts on the entity’s website. There are also traces of Zeballos’ participation in debates and congresses. The movement has already shared content on its networks from three professionals discouraging vaccination.
The doctor actively advises against vaccination and shares incorrect information. In content from June 21, he recounts the death of singer Preta Gil, victim of complications from colorectal cancer, to vaccines against Covid-19.
A doctor uses “post-peak syndrome” in political processions
Dr. Raissa Soares is a former Municipal Secretary of Health of Porto Seguro, Bahia, and was a candidate for the Federal Senate for the PL in the 2022 elections, but was not elected. On her Instagram account, where she has more than 349,000 subscribers, the doctor claims to have treated more than 3,300 patients with the syndrome without scientific basis.
On October 12, the Bahian news portal A Gazetta published that Raíssa was traveling the state with the “Saúde para Família” and “Pé Na Estrada” caravans to alert the population about a protocol to deal with the consequences of covid-19 and vaccines. The doctor intends to run as a federal deputy in 2026.
In a video published on November 30, the doctor reveals the places she visited with the health caravan, notably churches, and claims to have treated vaccinated patients with after-effects. “We need to look at patients who were vaccinated, who also had symptoms. I have patients today, among my 3,600 cases, who did not have the disease, they just received the vaccine and have symptoms. Because the virus also leaves a trace.”
On September 4, Raíssa published a video commenting on her work in medicine and politics. In this article she states that protein tipinfection with covid and vaccines, is linked to a series of symptoms, such as ocular, cardiological, gastrointestinal, rheumatological and musculoskeletal problems.
According to her, cases of “turbo cancer”, myocarditis, arrhythmias, pulmonary embolism, thrombosis, urticaria, autoimmune diseases and aging are also linked to tip. She recommends the “protocol tip” applied in your office to improve 90% of symptoms in 90 days maximum.
“So it’s important to ask yourself: ‘Wait a minute, how many times have I had Covid disease? And how many times have I received doses of vaccine agents?’ This load called load tip can affect your health,” Raíssa explains in the video.
“When we created and applied the ‘protocol point’“These people improve their quality of life, 70% improvement in symptoms within the first 40 days, 90% improvement in symptoms within 90 days,” he adds.
The doctor offers telemedicine services for “post-peak syndrome” worth R$398.
In a video from March 20, 2024, Raíssa claims that his treatment protocol, “focused on intestinal deworming,” was inspired by studies by Peter McCullough and Roberto Zeballos.
The professional also participated in Doctors for Life programs on vaccines. On June 25, in a live broadcast on “post-peak syndrome”, she claims that vaccinated people can transmit the virus tip through bodily fluids and by contaminating other people.
“The fact is that this protein has been isolated from body fluids, so we have what McCullough calls a loss. Vaccinated people contaminate others. And then I tip in saliva, sweat, bodily fluids, urine and stools (…) McCullough publishes publications which tip in breast milk,” explains Raíssa.
McCullough is a physician whose certifications have been revoked by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The cardiologist encouraged misinformation about Covid-19 vaccines and supported the use of hydroxychloroquine in patients, despite health authorities’ recommendations to the contrary.
