The Minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration and government spokesperson, Elma Saiz, assured this Friday that Feijóo “should resign” because he has been lying for “a year” with the messages he crossed with the former president of the Valencian Generalitat Carlos Mazón in the first … hours of the Dana tragedy in the province of Valencia in 2024.
This is how the Government spokesperson spoke in an interview with TVE, collected by Europa Press, in which she addressed the messages from Mazón that the president of the PP sent to Judge Dana. “Mr. Feijóo has been lying for a year, so for this reason alone he should resign,” he said, recalling that the PP leader is summoned as a witness and that, therefore, “he will have no choice but to tell the truth.”
According to Elma Saiz, these messages sent to the judge by Alberto Núñez Feijóo prove that “he was wrong” and that his only interest was “to erode and harm the Spanish government”.
“Mr. Feijóo did not tell the truth and the only thing that obsesses the one who came to play politics for adults and politics of moderation is to erode and harm the Spanish government”, he denounced, questioning “the form and substance” of Mazón’s messages sent by the leader of the PP to Judge Dana.
Saiz commented that it was already known that Mazón “was busy with something else” during the first hours of the tragedy, criticizing Feijóo’s “way of expressing himself” as a “fucking disaster, president.” “I wonder if Mr. Feijóo is not publicizing his response messages because they have the same tone,” he said.
Saiz also referred to the message in which Mazón commented to Feijóo that the Military Emergency Unit (UME) had been activated, despite complaints from the PP regarding the lack of resources deployed by the Government.
“What is proven is what we denounce, that Mr. Feijóo did not tell the truth and that the only thing that obsesses Mr. Feijóo, who came to do politics for adults and politics of moderation, is to erode and harm the Spanish government, taking with him the pain of the victims in this case or in any other,” said Elma Saiz. The minister stressed that she “cannot imagine the pain felt” by the victims of the dana after reading the messages that the former president of the Generalitat Carlos Mazón sent to Feijóo in the first hours of the tragedy.
Morant joins the petition
For her part, the Minister of Science, Innovation and Universities, Diana Morant, followed the same line as her cabinet colleague and demanded the resignation of the president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, “if he is not able” to hand over to the judge of the dana his “complete conversation” with the former president of the Valencian Community Carlos Mazón of October 29, 2024.

In this sense, Morant affirmed that all messages must be revealed to “stop covering up lies and mistreating victims.” That said, he affirmed that the “popular” leader should leave his post if he does not share the conversation with the Catarroja court.
