Neymar guarantees high prizes in poker tournament and wins honor

Neymar signed a partnership with BSOP, which represents the Brazilian poker championship, and won a tournament stage in his honor. In this case, the “BSOP One Neymar Jr. Edition”. The star left a good impression by participating in the “100K Super High Roller”, which took place last Thursday (18). In fact, he finished fourth in the event and won R$350,000 in prize money.

To obtain permission to participate in the competition, Santos number 10 had to pay a registration fee of R$100,000 for the event with 32 candidates, who were vying for the main title. In total, the invitation-only championship featured a 3 million reais prize pool. The prize for the winner alone was 1 million reais.

Neymar has publicly confessed his admiration for the sport on several occasions. A few hours before participating in the championship, he gave an interview and explained why he was a fan of the sport.

“In poker, when you start to understand what it means, you fall in love with the game, because it involves a lot of things when you are at the table. It is not a game of luck, it is a game of skill, you have to have a strong mind, you have to be focused, noticing the details that can make the difference,” explained the ace.

He then received a question about what he thought about participating in the tournament and showed his enthusiasm.

“I’m very happy, I feel flattered and honored to be part of the BSOP. Rafa (Rafael Moraes, CEO of the BSOP) is one of my best friends and he gave me this gift. It’s another different BSOP and we’re going to benefit a lot from it”, emphasized the number 10 of Santos.

Another illustrious member of the pageant was Bruna Biancardi, his current partner and mother of two of his daughters, Mavie and Mel.
