The results of the “Argentine Permanent Training Survey December 2025”, carried out by the Observatory of the Argentine Chamber of Vocational and Labor Trainingshow that non-formal education is emerging as a robust, agile and expanding sector over the course of this year, with significant impacts on employability and social development.
The sector represents a mixed ecosystem, with 44% of centers surveyed reporting having been in business for more than 8 years. This coincides with the emergence of new actors: 37% are in their first three years (12% less than a year and 25% between one and three years). This dynamic drives innovation and requires high quality standards.
In addition, it is estimated that the non-formal education sector, from the Chamber’s affiliated centers alone, could accommodate more than 490,000 new students annually. This figure highlights the sector’s role as a high-volume supplementary education system that has a direct impact on productivity and social mobility.

The data reflects that the sector is organizing its strategy based on complementary modalities, seeking to expand scope and optimize costs.
Short courses and intermediate degrees are on the rise at local universities
The largest training offering is aimed at suggestions for quick job exitthe duration of which does not exceed one year. This raises the profile of non-formal education focused on concrete results at low cost: most training offerings cost an average of $104,000 for a full course.
This is due to the fact that the institutions have contributed to the accessibility and equity of education, recording increases below the inflation rate of around 13.5%.
Looking ahead to 2026, there are high expectations for continuity and expansion. 74% of centers plan to expand their offerings through new courses or programs, while 27% will do so by exploring new modalities (distance/mixed). Likewise, over 50% are optimistic for the next year.
Non-formal education acts as a high-volume supplementary education system with a direct impact on employability, productivity and social mobility. The results of this survey underline the institutional role of the Argentine Chamber as an articulating actor in the sector: its representativeness is consolidated year after year, to the extent that the number of members and the volume of activity have continuously increased since its creation.
