“I express my deep sadness and indignation at the terrorist attack against the Jewish community that occurred this Sunday (14), during the lighting of the first Hanukkah candle, on Bondi Beach, in Sydney, which left people dead and dozens injured. It is a cruel act, motivated by hatred and anti-Semitism, which not only affects the Jewish community of Australia, but violates fundamental values such as life, religious freedom and coexistence peaceful,” he wrote in a note.
