At book launch at Recreio dos Bandeirantes, author says rumors about politics are unfounded
The book launch “Faith with reflection”Since Marcia Gamaattracted attention at the Atlântico Sul Hotel, in Recreio dos Bandeirantes, Rio de Janeiro, this Friday (12/05). The work brings together reflections, verses and personal experiences, being presented by the author as an invitation to everyday spirituality. During the event, Márcia spoke with the journalist Catherine AlvesSince LeoDias Portaland commented on recent speculation regarding his son, rapper Oruam.
Asked about rumors that the artist had visited the PT to discuss a possible affiliation, Márcia stressed that the attention of the moment was the book and denied the information: “I didn’t even want to say that, today is my moment. I didn’t even want to talk about anything political party. But I can say that everything they say about Mauro is a lie, it’s not true”he declared.
She also pointed out that neither she nor other members of her family are interested in politics and that the topic even bothers the rapper himself. “No one in my family. What my son suffers the most is politics. I have no interest either and I, as a mother, it’s true, Mauro is an adult, responsible for his actions, and I repeat that Mauro’s choices and decisions are his own. I can’t decide anything for Mauro. Of course, one thing that neither I nor his father dream of for him is politics”he declared.
Márcia emphasized that her son’s desire is to dedicate himself to music. “No either. I don’t think so. His desire is to be a singer. I think his vocation is to sing. His career, what he dreams of, that’s everything. That’s what he does well, that’s what he loves,” he said.
Finally, the author commented that Oruam’s decisions are made independently and his role is solely to support the family: “And it’s a decision, right? Mauro decides everything. There is a role in my life for both of them, my children, not just for Mauro. I know all the comments are very focused on Mauro. But, for all of my children, my role today is simply to pray and believe in a promise that God made to me with my family. Not just specific to Mauro. Mauro encompasses my family, but I pray for all of my children.”he concluded.
