
The Minister of Transport, Óscar Puente, announced a few days ago via his X account (formerly Twitter) the definitive release of the Alicante ring road toll on the AP-7 motorway (Mediterranean Motorway).
In this way, the AP-7 will be free in the section between Monforte del Cid and El Campello. In total, there will be 33.2 kilometers that will be directly connected to the sections of the Mediterranean highway liberalized in 2019, which is why the province of Alicante says goodbye to high-capacity roads after this resolution of the Council of Ministers. Above all, The measure reduces traffic on the A-70 (Alicante ring road).
When will the liberalization of the AP-7 toll arrive?

Currently, Spain has 12 high-capacity toll highways that report to the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility.
