The president of Castilla-La Mancha, Emiliano García-Page, announced this Monday morning that “in a very short time, in a few hours, we will give way to the approval of the extraordinary project for Tomelloso What does the Castilla-La Industrial Technology Center look like? … Mancha”, an initiative which will be validated at the meeting of the Government Council this Tuesday and which will be allocated six million euros. It is, he explained, a “highly awaited and desired” project in this city of Ciudad Real.
This was announced by the president of the region during the inauguration of the pedestrian and cycle link that connects Ciudad Real and Miguelturra which, supported by European funds, will promote sustainable mobility for some 100,000 inhabitants of this urban environment. A project which “is not the result of any lottery”, but which required “a lot of effort, a lot of insomnia” and “is going to be extremely useful”.
In this context, the Castilian-Manchego president has advanced other measures that the autonomous government will approve this Tuesday, such as “14 million euros for professional training and employment projects in the business sector”, which constitute “one of the keys to essential productivity”, he reported about a call for subsidies that will allow train some 600 people in strategic sectors for the region.
At the same time, and also for the province of Royal Cityannounced that the government he chairs will give the green light, this Tuesday, to the construction of the “new employment office in Manzanares” with a budget of “two million euros”, which will allow it to continue promoting the employability of those who “do not even have the possibility of taking a tenth in the lottery”, he indicated before emphasizing that “the only lottery for which I work in this region is that of effort, understanding and bridges”.
Ciudad Real Modernization Plan
Likewise, Emiliano García-Page celebrated, precisely in the last days of this year, the success of the “magnificent” Ciudad Real 2025 Modernization Plan that “we have surpassed it” since then, “either we have achieved it or it is being achieved at the moment”, which is why he concluded that “Castile-La Mancha complies with Ciudad Real”, while emphasizing the need to establish “approaches and projects with a horizon of 2030”, at least.
“We want to continue to comply,” added García-Page, who stressed that “honesty begins with consistency” and that “the consistency most required of a politician is to always try to fulfill the word he has given to citizens, even when that word was not proposed by anyone, but we imagined it ourselves.” In this sense, he added that “the policy that is worth pursuing is the one that consists of moving forward”, regardless of “excuses” and alibis”.
During this inauguration, Emiliano García-Page was accompanied by the second vice-president of the Council, José Manuel Caballero; the Minister of Development, Nacho Hernando; the delegate of the Council in this province, Blanca Fernández; the subdelegate of the Government in Ciudad Real, David Broceño; the mayor of Ciudad Real, Francisco Cañizares; and the mayor of Miguelturra, Luis Ramón Mohíno, among other authorities.
