The president of Castilla-La Mancha, Emiliano García-Page, congratulated Milagros Tolón this Monday after his appointment as the new Minister of Education, Culture and Sports, a position that he described as “important” and which, in his opinion, should always be “very taken into consideration”.
García-Page made these statements during the inauguration of the pedestrian and cycle link between Ciudad Real and Miguelturra, where he wanted to highlight the symbolic and political value of the appointment of the former government delegate to Castile-La Mancha and previously mayor of Toledo.
“They will also allow me to congratulate a compatriot, my successor as mayor of Toledo, who today obtains neither more nor less a ministry as relevant as that of Education,” he noted.
The regional president focused on Toulon’s trajectory and on the historical significance of the function he assumes: “Education, importance and level must always be taken into consideration when making appointments. “We have known each other forever and you will be able to share a gallery of portraits with such illustrious figures as Maravall, Rubalcaba or Gabilondo, and I sincerely believe that is something to celebrate.”
