The match was played at the Estádio do Canindé, in São Paulo. Corinthians had to open up a four-goal lead, to try to take the decision on penalties. But the net only shook once.
It was in the second half, when the referee awarded a penalty to Gabi Zanotti. The number 10 jersey shot himself and goalkeeper Tapia couldn’t stop and Corinthians scored 1 x 0.
Palmeiras retains its title for the second consecutive season. Corinthians last lifted the cup in 2023.
