The judge Juan Carlos Peinado contacted UCO to find out if there was any news regarding the rescue of Air Europa.
The magistrate asked the UCO to know “whether, on the basis of the information available to it, new facts have emerged concerning the rescue of Air Europa”.
And this despite the fact that the courts repeatedly prevented Judge Juan Carlos Peinado from investigating the rescue. Last time on November 25. The Provincial Court of Madrid accepted the appeal presented by the defense of Begoña Gomez as by the Office of the Prosecutor.
The airline Globalia already assured on December 2 that neither it nor any member of the Hidalgo family “had evaluated, commented, considered or made any payment to Ms. Begoña Gómez” for any activity related to the granting of the 475 million ransom granted by Sepi.
This happened after accusations made by Jose Luis Abalos And Koldo in recent days concerning the intermediation of the wife of the President of the Government in the aid granted.
In an interview given to Ok diaryKoldo claimed to have heard the Hidalgo family talk about possible “compensation” of up to one million euros for Begoña Gómez, the wife of government president Pedro Sánchez, for the rescue of Air Europa.
However The company affirms that “at no time was Ms. Begoña Gómez asked for any intermediation or management” in relation to the above-mentioned administrative procedure, in which he did not intervene.”
In a press release, the airline defended that “the entire processing of the administrative file corresponding to the granting of aid was carried out in full compliance with the principles and rules which governed said administrative procedure”.
And he also recalled that this objective was achieved thanks to the “corresponding favorable report of all administrative bodies, consulting companies and law firms involved in the procedure”.
Plot “Koldo”
From the start, the aid granted by Sepi to Air Europa was implicated in the “Koldo case”.
Its rescue involved numerous ministries and the wife of the President of the Government after an initial complaint from Clean Hands.
The first lady reportedly had meetings at Globalia headquarters with Javier Hidalgo, then CEO of the group, before the rescue, for which she was accused of influence peddling.
However, a report from the Civil Guard disassociated it.
But the investigation carried out by the Central Operational Unit (UCO) of the Civil Guard revealed that Koldo García, advisor to the former Minister of Transport, José Luis Ábalos, organized the meetings that led to the government’s intervention.
Likewise, commissionaire Víctor Aldama also participated in the rescue negotiations, even meeting Nadia Calviño, former vice president of the government and minister of Economy.
500,000 euros for the rescue
But there is even more. As this newspaper publishes, Aldama revealed to Leonor González Pano, his ex-girlfriend, that Pepe Hidalgo (president of Globalia) had given 500,000 euros to Koldo to pay Ábalos for the rescue of the Globalia group airline.
The delivery of the money, according to Aldama’s ex-girlfriend, took place in a sports bag.
This bag was delivered to the house of the “patriarch” of the Hidalgo family in Puerta de Hierro, one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in Madrid.
During delivery to the Puerta de Hierro house, and according to González Pano’s account: “Pepe told them to count the money. He was very interested, according to Víctor, for Koldo to count the money in the bag”.
An unusual interest that did not go unnoticed by Koldo and Aldama. In fact, González Pano recounts how “they both got angry.”
“It was Victor who told him: Pepe, I’ll tell you.” The reason? “I thought Pepe was recording them both.”
Something that coincides with other testimonies collected by EL ESPAÑOL, which assure that “Hidalgo records everything when he is at home.”
As can be heard in the audios published by this newspaper, it was Aldama who told his ex-girlfriend that at that moment they were convinced that “he wanted to record them collecting the money.”
This is why The one who looked at the money was Aldamaso as not to involve Koldo and therefore Ábalos.
After handing over the money, Pepe Hidalgo told them “you’re going to cost me more than I’m going to get.”
Juan José Hidalgo’s payment took place after Aldama informed the minister’s advisor that Javier Hidalgo had called Begoña Gómez, as reported by the UCO.
This message from Aldama to Koldo was sent on September 3, 2020. The plot showed their concern as the CEO of Globalia was “looking for a living” and they feared losing their contract with Air Europa.
At this point it is worth remembering that Víctor de Aldama was at the time an advisor to Globalia (owner of Air Europa) and that he was hired with a salary of 10,000 euros net per month.
We must not forget it, In addition to the 500,000 euros paid to the former minister, there would also be the Villa Parra house in Marbella (Málaga) and which José Luis Ábalos took advantage of from August 12 to 23, 2020.
House that the airline also denied having covered, directly or through third parties, the rental of a house for the use of José Luis Ábalos.
In the same press release published last April, the airline reiterated that it had not requested the intervention of the wife of the President of the Government in the negotiation of the loans granted.
