This was declared, coinciding with sexual harassment allegations scandals which affect the politicians of the PSOE and the PP, during their first intervention at the headquarters of the State Attorney General’s Office.
A few minutes earlier, Peramato had taken office at the Supreme Court, sponsored by the lieutenant prosecutor, Angeles Sanchez Condeand the retired chamber prosecutor Felix Pantoja.

He declared that he would “firmly defend” the request for budgetary autonomy that the Prosecutor’s Office currently lacks and indicated that “I will unequivocally assume the change in the criminal procedure model” so that prosecutors are the directors of investigations into crimes.
Julio Cano, his right arm
After mentioning the Fiscal Council and the College of Chamber Prosecutors, Peramato expressed his commitment to “dialogue and build together, because the Prosecutor’s Office is not a person”.
He also announced his first appointment, that of head of the Technical Secretariat and therefore his right hand. It will be Julio Canountil now Attorney General of the Balearic Islands.

The High Court criticized the fact that the Tax Inspectorate did not transmit this fact to the Tax Council so that the latter could assess whether Cano had an incompatibility. This objection having been corrected in a negative sense, Cano was again appointed chief prosecutor of the Balearic Islands last January.
