Perry BamonteRenowned British musician known for his role as guitarist and keyboardist in the band The Cure died at the age of 65 after a short illness at home during the Christmas holidays.
The announcement was made by the group on their official website, where they expressed deep regret at the loss of an important collaborator in their music history. “Calm, intense, intuitive, constant and enormously creative, “Teddy has been a warm and important part of The Cure’s history,” the band’s statement reads.

Bamonte, whose full name was Perry Archangelo Bamonte, was born on September 3, 1960 in London, England. His involvement with The Cure began in 1984 as the band’s technical assistant, a role he held until 1989.
In 1990 he officially joined as a membertakes responsibility for guitar, six-string bass and keyboards.

During his first phase, which lasted until 2005, he participated in the recording of important albums such as Wish (1992), Wild mood swings (1996), Blood flowers (2000), Acoustic hits (2001) and The healing (2004).
