PF reports that the Brits are part of an international smuggling scheme that included a stash containing 613kg of cocaine in South Carolina

Federal Police (PF) have named British nationals among the people being investigated in an international drug trafficking scheme. According to the company, they are wanted internationally and have a criminal history related to the crime in England. This information was published by the PF on Thursday, in a review of the operation carried out in Blumenau, Santa Catarina, against a criminal structure. A stash containing 613 kilograms of cocaine was found at an address. During the operation, two men were arrested and luxury goods were confiscated.

The PF operation was carried out in the state on Tuesday (2) and Wednesday (3), with the information released by the company only on Thursday. On the first day, the cocaine shipment was found in a warehouse belonging to the metal bullion export company.

While executing the search and seizure warrant, officers found the drugs hidden inside a vault in the basement of the property. It was divided and packed into packages. It was necessary to use heavy machinery to open the entrance.

Federal police investigations indicate that the company was being used as a front to facilitate a recurring scheme to send cocaine to Europe. For this purpose, the drug was used to prepare and store the drug before international transportation.

For this type of operation, according to PF, there is an international criminal structure with an operational base in Santa Catarina. For business, business elements were combined with logistical support from Brazilians and leadership from foreigners.

During the operation, a man was caught red-handed in Blumenau. Another arrest was made following information collected during the drug bust. In addition to issuing an arrest warrant for the suspect, a search and seizure warrant was requested at an associated residential address in Florianópolis, the state capital. Vehicles, boats, jewelry and documents were confiscated from the property. The identity of the two prisoners was not revealed.
