The pillar property being investigated by Justice/WEB
A judicial expert report found that the Villa Rosa mansion in Pilar, attributed to the authorities of the Argentine Football Association (AFA), has a real value of more than 20 million dollars, well above the 1.8 million declared at the time of acquisition. The report, prepared by experts from the College of Auctioneers and Public Brokers of San Isidro, was submitted to Commercial Criminal Judge Marcelo Aguinsky.
The appraisal – a 550-page document – put the total value of the Misiones 4097 property, including real estate, buildings, recreational areas and 54 high-end and collector vehicles, at $20,815,100.
A rating much higher than stated
According to the appraisal, the five-hectare main property alone was worth $5.6 million. The main house reached a value of 2.385 million, while the secondary house was valued at 1.23 million. In addition to these structures are other buildings: an entrance building ($134,000), a warehouse ($1.05 million), a stable with caretaker’s quarters ($1.22 million) and a car shed worth $1.49 million.
The list continues with the recreational areas: the barbecue area was rated at 1.49 million; the spa and gym at 1.45 million; the bar at 390,000; reception at 350,000; the pool, in 50,000; a paddle court for 30,000; and a helipad for $85,000.
The vehicles seized by law enforcement – 54 in total, including Porsche, BMW, Audi, Harley-Davidson motorcycles and a Ferrari F430 coupe – were valued at $3,861,100.
Owner under suspicion
The property is registered in the name Real Central SRL, whose partners are Luciano Pantano, former futsal director, and his mother Ana Conte. Both have avoided testifying this week and are suspected of being front men because their financial situation is not compatible with the value of the property. Pantano is a monotributista and had bank debts of more than two million pesos at the beginning of the file; Conte is retired and received the IFE during the pandemic.
The purchase deed shows that Real Central – formerly called Central Park Drinks – paid $1.8 million for the property, a figure experts described as “much lower” than market value. The operation was carried out in May 2024 and signed by the notary María José Leoni Peña.
Connections to Pablo Toviggino
Investigators suspect that the villa is linked to the AFA’s treasurer, Pablo Toviggino, based on the corporate movements associated with the operation as well as the traffic permits for the cars and personal belongings found on the site. Judge Aguinsky ordered the lifting of his banking, tax and financial secrecy, the most direct action against him to date.
The farm previously belonged to Carlos Tevez, who sold it to Malte SRL in 2023. This company – owned by Mauro Javier Paz and Orlando Martín López – is based in Santiago del Estero, as is HT SRL, a company linked to Toviggino. Paz signed the deed as the seller and Pantano as the buyer for Central Park Drinks.
The status of the case
On Monday, the investigations against Pantano and Conte were suspended pending the resolution of a court complaint seeking to hand over the file to the Federal Court of Campana. White-collar criminal lawyer Claudio Navas Rial disagreed, saying the investigation points to the AFA based in the city of Buenos Aires and not to the property itself.
While jurisdiction is determined, Aguinsky has directed the DGI to conduct an asset, financial and tax analysis of all companies involved in the purchase and sale transaction. In addition, information about the use of the helipad – aircraft, movements and passengers – was requested to verify possible links to the alleged real owners of the property.
The case began following a complaint by the Civic Coalition and was initially heard in the federal court of Daniel Rafecas until the federal court ordered it transferred to the Aguinsky court.
The judiciary confiscated 54 vehicles, including BMW, Porsche, Audi, Ferrari and others
