
Between January and September 2025, shipments of Peruvian pisco reached the international market 7 million 062 thousand US dollarsa figure that, according to the Agro-Export Management of the Association of Exporters (ADEX), represents an increase of 9% compared to the same period last year (6 million 466 thousand US dollars).
USA It established itself as the main destination for Peruvian pisco, accounting for 38% of export value. During these nine months, purchases in North America totaled $2 million 663 thousand, an increase in orders of 5%.
Other key markets also included Spain, which charged $997,811; the Netherlands with $834,000; Japan with $428,501; Belgium with $349,243; France with $184,472; Australia at $171,537 and China at $150,823.

At the national level Ica remained the drink’s main export region, accounting for 57% of total shipments. Lima was second with 41%, while other regions with relevant export activity were Moquegua, Áncash, Tacna, Arequipa and Callao.
Parallel to the growth of shipments is the national fishing industry focused on strengthening product quality. In 2025, the Ministry of Production (Produce) and the National Pisco Commission (Conapisco) organized the twenty-sixth edition of the National Pisco Competition, a competition aimed at recognizing excellence and promoting sustainable and competitive practices among producers.
The competition rewarded both the quality of pisco and the talent of producers at three levels: Silver Medal (equal to or greater than 85 points), Gold Medal (equal to or greater than 89 points), and Grand Gold (equal to or greater than 93 points).

There are three companies associated with the reputable manufacturers ADEX They won gold medals: Cuatro Fundos SAC in the Pisco Puro Italia category; Santa María Magdalena SAC Winery, in Pisco Aromatic Green Mosto; and Grupo Moquillaza SAC, in non-aromatic green Mosto Pisco.
A total of 396 samples took part in the competition, which were submitted by more than 100 authorized wineries in Lima, Ica, Arequipa, Moquegua and Tacnaunder the Pisco designation of origin. The samples were evaluated according to the competition regulations and the standards of the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV).
Each sample was subjected to a technical analysis and a sensory tasting at Ica’s CITE under strict impartiality protocols. The Piscos, awarded major gold and gold medals, are promoted at national fairs and international events.
The main export companies in the January-September period were Destilería La Caravedo SRL, Bodega San Isidro SRL, Viña Tacama SA, Bodega San Nicolás Sociedad Anónima, Bodegas y Viñedos Tabernero SAC, Santiago Queirolo SAC, Macchu Pisco SAC, Destilería Nacional SAC and Agrícola Viña Vieja Viña Santa Isabel.
The growth in shipments and the awards received strengthen the position of Peruvian pisco in the international market and support the sector’s commitment to quality and commercial expansion.
