Planalto confirmed Thursday Gustavo Damião, of União Brasil da Paraíba, as new Minister of Tourism, in place of Celso Sabino.
Son of deputy Damião Feliciano (União-PB), Gustavo was received by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, during a meeting attended, among others, by the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Hugo Motta (Republicanos-PB).
The inauguration of the new minister should take place next week, probably Tuesday.
