The members of the Palácio do Planalto and the government base in the National Congress saw a duo between Hugo Motta (Republicanos-PB) and Davi Alcolumbre (União-AP) in the decision to vote for the PL Dosimetry before the holidays.
For Lula’s allies and assistants, the presidents of the House and the Senate made joint announcements on the vote on the proposal with the aim of sending a message to the President of the Republic, with whom both had differences.

Motta announced that he would vote on January 8 on the plan to reduce the sentences of convicts — which should benefit former President Jair Bolsonaro — after the leaders’ meeting on Tuesday (12/9).
Shortly after the House Speaker’s decision was announced, Alcolumbre told reporters that he would consider the bill in the Senate in 2025, if lawmakers approved the text.

For government parliamentarians and Lula’s aides, the presidents of the Senate and the House agreed to vote on the proposal as a way of opposing the current head of the Planalto Palace.
Lula’s allies guarantee that the President of the Republic will veto the project. But the last word will go to the National Congress, which could override the veto of the PT member and maintain the proposal.
