
The Military Police (PM) said they seized this Friday (12/12) drugs, ammunition and explosive materials during an operation in Favela do Moinho, in the central region of São Paulo. According to those responsible for the action, three people were arrested in flagrante delicto at the scene.
Favela do Moinho is currently undergoing an eviction process, following an agreement involving the federal and state governments to find a way out for its residents, by providing housing to those living there.

In October, the Court ordered the state government to remove the debris from the demolitions. This also required the presence of the PM on site to prevent the re-occupation of the remaining properties.
The Secretariat of Public Security (SSP) says police officers were patrolling the community when they saw a man leaving a property where some of the material was found.

The Prime Minister says the suspect indicated that the products belonged to another person, who was at a bar. The second suspect then pointed to another property, where more drugs, money, cell phones, ammunition and explosive devices were found, including a grenade.
In total, police located 3.8 kg of marijuana, 1.6 kg of cocaine, 1.6 kg of crack cocaine and 665 ml of perfume thrower. Around R$5,500 in cash, eight cell phones and .38 caliber ammunition were also seized.
Police activated the Special Tactical Actions Group (Gate), which sealed off the area and detonated the explosives in a controlled manner.
According to the Prime Minister, three suspects were taken to the 2nd Police District (Bom Retiro). They were charged with drug trafficking, drug trafficking association and illegal possession of firearms and explosive devices.
