This Tuesday morning (12/30), the São Paulo Civil Police continued a mega-operation to execute more than 200 arrest warrants against suspects of violence against women. The action started on Monday evening (12/29).
According to the Secretary of State for Women’s Policy, Adriana Liporoni, the targets of the operation are involved in cases of serious bodily injury and femicide, among other crimes. There are also preventive arrest warrants for non-compliance with a protection measure.
Liporoni said arrest warrants are being executed throughout the state of São Paulo and prisoners will be taken to the respective regions where the crimes were recorded.
