One of the suspects in the theft of some bathers aboard a boat in São Vicente, on the coast of São Paulo, was arrested in the early hours of this Sunday (28). The 18-year-old man had already been identified by the police as one of the perpetrators of the crime which occurred on the 21st and was arrested in the act during an attempted robbery.
This Monday (29), the couple robbed at sea went to the police station and recognized the suspect, who remained in police custody at the disposal of the courts. Investigations continue to locate the second person involved in the crime.
The suspect was the subject of an open arrest warrant and, according to the investigation, he committed crimes again on Saturday evening (27), participating in an attempted robbery with a teenager, also in São Vicente. Three people were approached in front of a residence and had rings, jewelry, a cell phone and a vehicle stolen.
While fleeing, one of the robbers fired in the direction of the victims, without hitting them. The car was later found abandoned, and the two suspects were arrested early Sunday. With them, the police seized two cell phones, a firearm and the wedding ring of one of the victims.
The case had repercussions after the attack on two bathers a few meters from Milionários beach, in São Vicente, was recorded by witnesses and published on social networks. The footage shows two criminals arriving on a boat and approaching the victims as they were kayaking in the sea.
