Police officers from the Special Resources Coordination (Core) located, on Friday (12/05), the pistol stolen from agent João Pedro Marquini Santana (featured photo), executed by drug traffickers in March this year.
The weapon was hidden in one of the entrances to the community of Tabajaras, in Copacabana, and was found thanks to an anonymous tip received by the team.

The discovery took place three days after the death of Jeferson Rosa dos Reis, “Jefinho”, one of the criminals named as executors of Marquini’s will.
He was a member of the Comando Vermelho (CV), worked in the Tabajaras region and had a long criminal record, with records of theft, homicide, drug trafficking, theft and criminal organization.
Jefinho was on the run from justice and was neutralized during a confrontation with the Core teams.
Investigations carried out by the Capital Police Station (DHC) had already technically proven the direct participation of Jefinho in the execution of the civilian police officer.
According to the unit, the criminal fired several shots at the officer during the action.
To forbid
Besides Jefinho, other people involved in the assassination have already been identified, arrested or killed in clashes in recent months.
Trafficker Alexandre Costa de Oliveira, known as “Preá”, who also participated in the ambush and shot the police officer, is still on the run. Police are continuing their efforts to find the criminal.
