The pilot left the São Lucas Hospital, in Copacabana, and was transferred to a health unit focused on rehabilitation. From now on, the commander will undergo locomotor and cognitive recovery therapy.
Felipe Marques has had to fight a real battle for his life in recent months. He underwent several surgeries, suffered a series of serious infections and required several blood transfusions.
The attack on the police officer occurred during an operation aimed at dismantling a gang specializing in stealing vans and dismantling vehicles to resell the parts. Felipe was on board a helicopter of the Aeropolice Service of the Coordination of Special Resources (Core), which was shot at by criminals.
Felipe, who acted as co-pilot of the operation, was hit in the head by a gunshot. Before piercing the police officer’s forehead, the bullet collided with the plane and lost speed, eventually lodging itself in Felipe’s head. The shot caused the destruction of approximately 40% of his skull.

In an exclusive interview with Metropolisesin Mirelle Pinheiro’s column, Felipe’s wife, Keidna Marques, said she wanted her husband to be treated at the Sarah Kubitschek Hospital, in Brasilia.
“I want Felipe to be followed at the Sarah Hospital, in Brasilia. I’m going to ask for help, I’m going to see who can help me, I have to take him there. After he leaves the room, he will be sent to a transitional hospital, where the recovery work will begin. Then, I want to take him to Brasilia”, emphasized his wife, in an interview at the beginning of November.
