The conflict apparently began after a disagreement related to the pricing of the services offered on the sand strip, which some visitors refused to pay.

Initial reports indicate that one of the tourists ended up attacking a beach employee, sparking chaos. Other people working on the beach approached and began attacking visitors, increasing the confrontation between beachgoers and regulars.
