Given the format that series adopt today (with a limited number of episodes and budgets so ambitious that a lot of time passes between seasons), for many it was a relief to come across something like The Pitt. 15 chapters made up the first season of this series, inaugurated in January 2025and everything was reminiscent of old-fashioned television from the very approach: a series of doctors like those before, but of categorical quality.
After all The Pitt was the obvious successor to an earlier television phenomenon such as EMERGENCIES– Share the creators, and also Noah Wyle as an actor. He is the center of the fiction, Dr. Michael ‘Robby’ Rabinavitch, an attending physician with a particularly hard shift who charted the first season of The Pitt. With The Pitt everything happened quickly enough to HBO Maxand allowed itself the luxury of renewing it mid-season. And that’s been said and done: the new episodes started filming shortly after the first season finished airing, so the wait shouldn’t be long.
