The illegal merchandise, worth 14,000 reais, was transported in the form of packages in the luggage compartment of a bus.
The Federal Highway Police (PRF) seized, this Saturday morning (13), a shipment of contraband electronic cigarettes during an inspection on the BR-470, in Bento Gonçalves, Serra Gaúcha. The action took place at kilometer 224 of the highway.
The illegal material was found on an interstate transport bus, which was traveling between Foz do Iguaçu (PR) and Porto Alegre. During the inspection of the luggage and parcel compartment, the officers spotted two boxes declared as toys. When they opened the volumes, they discovered the contents were actually 120 electronic cigarettes, commonly known as vapes.
