The Baixada Fluminense Criminal Police Station (DHBF) is investigating the death of military police second lieutenant Marcelo Lima dos Santos, 49, on Thursday evening, in São João de Meriti, in the municipality of Baixada Fluminense. According to preliminary information, the Prime Minister was shot dead after an attempted robbery.

The State Secretariat for Military Police published a press release deploring the death of the second lieutenant. According to preliminary information provided by the victim’s wife, the couple were victims of an attempted robbery near a supermarket, on Avenida Presidente Lincoln, in the Jardim Meriti neighborhood.
The soldier tried to react and was hit. He was rescued and transported to the São João de Meriti Municipal Hospital, where he died. The criminals fled.

According to g1, the criminals were in a black Jeep Renegade. The bandits only took the bag from the police officer’s wife, who was not injured.
Warrant Officer Marcelo was married, had worked for the company for 29 years and was assigned to the 41st BPM (Irajá). The Baixada Fluminense Criminal Police Station (DHBF) is investigating this case. According to civil police, efforts are underway to determine who is responsible for the crime.
