The PSOE is investigating a complaint of sexual harassment against the mayor of Almussafes (Valencia), deputy secretary of the Socialists of the Province of Valencia and also member of the Autonomous Executive, Toni González, as confirmed by this newspaper. The complaint was presented by a Valencian socialist activist on the channel activated and centralized by Ferraz, as previously reported. eldiario.es.
Added to the sexual accusation is another complaint for harassment at work presented by the same activist who works in a municipal company in Almussafes, dedicated mainly to cleaning, against the mayor of the town where the Ford factory is located in Spain, about 24 kilometers from Valencia. The activist presented the complaints on the Antiacoso de los Socialistes channel and to the Department of Normative Compliance.
González has long been a person similar to José Luis Ábalos in the internal conflicts within the PSPV-PSOE until the former minister was removed from his position as Secretary of the PSOE Organization. Today I am one of the main supporters of the Mayor of Mislata and Secretary General of the PSPV-PSOE of the Province of Valencia, Carlos Fernández Bielsa. He has been mayor of Almussafes (9,000 inhabitants) since 2015.
Toni González denies the rumors and assures that it is a case of “revenge”, during a telephone conversation with this newspaper. “It will be necessary to demonstrate that the relationship was not consensual,” he said about a relationship a few years ago. Let’s say the charges were filed today, though it’s clear that the sexual harassment charge should have been filed some time ago, but that wasn’t the case. González said: “I am now taking advantage of the moment of harassment at work.”
González maintained that the problem arose when the activist demanded the signing of an agreement in the metallurgical sector, supposed to cost 400 euros, among other issues. Ensure that the Labor Inspectorate has archived the work request and that the activist has made threats that he was going to denounce for the pueblo. There are also complaints about fights between different sensibilities within the party.
The alcalde declares that he does not think about dismissing him as alcalde, because he will have to decide “the citizens”, and it is in the hands of the national executive of the PSPV-PSOE, which is led by the Minister of Science, Diana Morant, the decision to eliminate the organic positions he occupies, as requested.
