Questioned by Galo, Juninho Capixaba had a “difficult” year in Bragantino

Left-back Juninho Capixaba is closing in on his move from Red Bull Bragantino. The experienced defender’s likely destination is Atlético-MG, who are already looking for a replacement for the possible departure of Guilherme Arana.

Hired at the start of 2023 from Fortaleza, number 29 had a “difficult” year with the Massa Bruta jersey last season. Indeed, throughout 2025, Capixaba suffered from three physical problems.

In June, he had pain and an injury to his right thigh. The following month, when the Brazilian Championship resumed after the Club World Cup, the full-back suffered a medial collateral ligament injury, which forced him out for two months.
